Capcom has announced it is not merging with video game rivals.

Capcom doesn't plan to merge with other game developers, Chief Financial Officer Heiji Oshima said, denying reports the company may be bought by Nintendo.

``Those reports are totally groundless,'' Oshima said in an interview. ``We have no immediate plans to merge or tie up with other game makers.''
