Last night, Canadian carrier, Bell accidentally listed the Google Pixel on its website in place of the Galaxy Note7, and now UK-based retailer Carphone Warehouse has jumped the gun and spilled most of the details about the two devices that will be unveiled tomorrow.
Google will be announcing its Pixel series of smartphones at an event set for tomorrow, but with the latest leak, we now have most of the information about the devices' internals. Turns out, many of the previous leaks were quite accurate and the smartphones share most of the hardware specifications, with screen and battery size being the only differentiator among them.
Both the devices will run Android Nougat 7.1 and will be powered by a 2.15 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 821 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and storage options of 32 GB or 128 GB. Additionally, the smartphones will feature expandable storage too. On the imaging front, there is a 12-megapixel f/2.0 snapper at the back, and a 8-megapixel camera up front.
The regular Pixel will feature a 5-inch screen with Full HD (1920x1080) resolution and a 2770mAh battery, while the larger Pixel XL will come with a 5.5-inch screen having a Quad HD (2560x1440) resolution and a 3450mAh battery. Both the devices are said to use AMOLED screens and Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
Since we know about the device's software and internal specs, the only thing to look out for at tomorrow's announcement is the pricing and availability details of the handsets.
