CES 2019: iFLYTEK's Translator 2.0 works with 63 languages

Every year at CES, I like to take a look at some of the translation products that are coming out. We all live in a connected world now, and it seems that while the problem of distance has been solved for communication, the last barrier is language.

iFLYTEK is a company that specializes in translation, and I got to check out two of their new products. One is the Translator 2.0, and it does exactly what it sounds like. You hold a button and say something, and then it says that back to you in another language. What's cool is that it supports 63 languages.

Microsoft revealed Skype Translator for stuff like this in 2014, but even today, it only supports 10 languages for translation by voice. Being able to do it with 63 languages is a big deal.

The other product I got to check out is called the A.I. Note. This incredibly light (360g) tablet has an E-ink Carta screen, and you can write or talk to it. Either one will be recognized, and your notes will be searchable. You can even upload your notes to a PC so you can edit them there.

Unfortunately, the A.I. Note is only available in China for around $700, but it might be a cool product to see in the U.S.
