Cricket Wireless has stopped selling the Microsoft Lumia 650 online; still offering the 640

It's been a rough week for fans of Microsoft's Lumia line of handsets. Yesterday, the unlocked Lumia 650 and the Verizon 735 were removed from the Microsoft Store, and today, the AT&T 640 XL disappeared.

Unfortunately, there's more bad news. Cricket Wireless is no longer selling the Lumia 650 in its online store, which isn't entirely surprising given that Microsoft recently removed the unlocked model from its website.

What's a bit more shocking is that you can still grab a Lumia 640 from Cricket. The 640 is a phone that will be two years old in March; meanwhile, the 650 is actually the newest Lumia on the market, which will be one year old in a month.

If you head over to the AT&T-owned carrier's "prepaid phones for sale" page, you'll see an ad showing the Lumia 650 that says that you'll get a free phone if you switch your phone number over. When you click on the link, it takes you to a page where there is no 650.

You can also check out the page where the handset used to be listed by the carrier, although now it just says "We can't find that page."
