Oh yeah, now here is something I'm personally looking forward to. Dark Messiah of Might and Magic by Arkane Studios (and the multiplayer portion by Kuju Entertainment) is for the few of you who don't know, a Source engine powered PC RPG in the vein of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Gothic 3. The emphasis is on combat here folks, I don't care what the press releases or videos say. It is all about killing Orcs and slicing them up or kicking them into spikes on the walls!
Multiplayer wise, I've been a closed beta tester for Ubisoft and I've played the multiplayer portion for many months now. It has improved significantly since I first started playing and is an absolute blast right now. For those of you who are currently in the Open Beta for the game, you know what I mean. It is mostly a hack and slash job, but man is it fun. And graphically it is quite nice, especially considering the Source engine is getting "old" now so to speak. They customized the game engine quite nicely I think, added some nice effects here and there and made it look overall pretty good.
In any event, you can load up Steam right now and Pre-Order Dark Messiah of Might and Magic for $49.95 USD and start playing the instant it is available (well instant for as long as it takes to unlock and verify! ) later this month, not to mention get that warm and fuzzy feeling knowing you supported Arkane Studios and Kuju Entertainment by buying the game! Come on, you know you want to. Do it now. Right now.
