Dell Latitude 7320 unboxing and first impressions

Dell Latitude 7320 top-down view with wood background

Dell's new Latitude 7320 is in the house, and last year, the Latitude 7310 was my favorite business PC from Dell. It's just so light and compact that it's a pleasure to use. If I had to grab a laptop to go do some work on the couch, that was always it.

This year, the main change is that it has Intel's 11th-generation 'Tiger Lake' processors, and it's the first one I've had in my hands that has Tiger Lake vPro. If you're unfamiliar, vPro is Intel's brand of chips that has hardware-baked security and manageability features. And of course, the new chips have Iris Xe graphics, the company's most powerful integrated graphics to date.

Of course, it maintains the Dell Optimizer app, which packs in a bunch of AI features. For example, there's a proximity sensor that can tell when you sit in front of your PC or when you walk away. When you sit down, it wakes up the laptop, activating the IR camera for Windows Hello and logging you in without you ever having to touch it. When you walk away, it can lock your PC after a set amount of time.
