A few peeps have contacted us worried over the recent neowin downtime, and thinking that they may be inadvertently a part of it.

It does go without saying that if you spend time online - on Neowin ;) - then you really should get hold hold of a decent firewall plus an antivirus program.
Now this really is a personal recommendation but I'd go for Outpost (free version) for the firewall, and Norton 2003 or McAfee for the virus scanner if you have the money, otherwise there are a few online scanners out there.
