Dynabook introduces Satellite Pro laptops starting at $499

Satellite Pro L50

Today, Dynabook is announcing a new laptop brand called Satellite Pro, along with a new strategic partnership with SYNNEX for distribution. The first three laptops from the Satellite Pro brand are the C40, C50, and L50. Considering that Dynabooks business laptops can be a bit pricey, its worth noting that these start at just $499.99 for the Satellite Pro C40.

"Introducing the Satellite Pro brand and pairing it with our award-winning Portégé and Tecra laptops enhances Dynabook’s already robust product portfolio and creates new opportunities in the U.S. market," said Philip Osako, vice president, marketing and engineering, Dynabook Americas, Inc. "We are pleased to offer our customers a wider selection of options as well as the unique combination of performance and budget-friendly prices within the Satellite Pro product family."

All of the new laptops are powered by Intel's 10th-generation processors. Interestingly, the CPUs in the C40 and C50 come from the Ice Lake family, something that you typically don't see from Dynabook since there's no vPro variant. The CPU options are the Core i3-1005G1 and the Core i5-1035G1, so there's no Iris Plus Graphics option. For the Satellite Pro L50, it comes with an Intel Core i7-10510U from the 14nm Comet Lake family, along with Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics.

The $899.99 is 19.9mm thick and weighs 4.07 pounds, also coming with beefier specs. It comes with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD for $899.99. It also comes with the standard one-year warranty.
