EE gives NHS staff unlimited data until October

A NHS building

EE has announced that NHS staff can get unlimited mobile data until the 9th October 2020 because of the workload they’re under, dealing with the influx of patients suffering from COVID-19. This will ensure that NHS staff don’t have to worry about running out of mobile data and will make it easier for them to keep in touch with family and friends who they’ll be separated from for long periods.

Commenting on the move, Marc Allera, CEO of BT’s Consumer Division, said:

“We hope this gives NHS staff one less thing to worry about. They can keep in touch with friends and family and use the internet without worrying about using up their data. Along with the discount we already provide, this is a thank you from all of us at EE to those in the NHS that are working so hard for us all.”

To benefit from the offer, NHS workers just have to register online with a valid NHS e-mail address. NHS staff that are already receiving discounts on their monthly mobile plans from EE will also be able to take advantage of the offer. Once registered, workers will receive a text message confirming that the unlimited data is on their account until 9th October 2020.

To make NHS workers more aware of the offer, EE has launched a new TV campaign featuring actor Kevin Bacon detailing the offer and thanking NHS staff for the work they’re doing. The campaign is now running on TV, video on demand (VOD), and social media.
