Fancy winning a trip to space?

VideoSift has reported that Australia-based Virgin Blue is running a competition with the grand prize being 25 Million 'Velocity Points', the company's frequent flier points.

This specific amount just happens to be enough to warrant a trip (for two) to space, a trip of a lifetime. If space doesn't seem like your thing, the points are also redeemable for "a cheeky pair of Alfa Romeos, the chance to explore the planet how you see fit, or the ultimate shopping spree worth a cool $170,000", according to the official competition homepage.

In order to enter, you just have to earn Velocity Points from Virgin Blue (each point is one entry), or transfer points from selected Card Partners. Hang on, you're thinking, where does the shuttle launch from? Do I have to pay to get there? Fret no more, as along with the space prize, Virgin offers two return tickets to LA, sweetening the already-juicy prize.

Only one person can win, of course, but as mentioned they can bring a person along for the ride.
