Firefox 0.9.1 confirmed

Thanks [Thrice] for the heads up. Ben Goodger has confirmed that the Firefox development team will be rolling out a "quickie" update to address the bugs that were found in the 0.9 release.

"The 0.9 release has highlighted a few issues related to the Extension Manager, one of which was fixed for Thunderbird 0.7, but there were a few others including a top crash. As a result we will do a quickie 0.9.1 in the next few days," said Ben Goodger, firefox lead developer.

According to Goodger, the list of bugs that will be fixed in this update are as follows:

  • Bug 248071

  • Bug 246687

  • Bug 246014

  • Bug 245335

  • Bug 247322

  • "The wacky infinite restart loop"
Apart from bug fixes, the default theme (Winstripe) will also be updated in this release. The Firefox BugZilla web site has more details on the issues that were mentioned.
