Fixes for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ Bluetooth and SD card issues now available in the UK

Last week, Samsung began rolling out an update for its new Galaxy S8 and S8+, starting in the United Arab Emirates. Now the company has brought the update to both handsets in the United Kingdom too.

The update brings fixes for two specific issues that have affected some of Samsung's new flagships:

  • Bluetooth connectivity and stability has been improved
  • Improved stability - SD card

The Bluetooth fix squashes a bug that would force a reboot of the smartphone when controlling music playback via a wireless speaker or in-car entertainment system. The update also includes unspecified "device stability improvements" and other bug fixes.

The total size of the update is around 618MB, so if you're on a limited data plan, make sure to connect to Wi-Fi before downloading it.

Earlier this month, Samsung released another update in Europe to address complaints that some Galaxy S8 and S8+ displays were exhibiting a red hue.
