Frontier Developments' Planet Zoo launching November 5, see its first in-game trailer

During the E3 PC Gaming Show today, the recently announced zoo building and management title Planet Zoo received a release date, as well as its first gameplay trailer, seen above. Planet Zoo is coming to Steam on November 5, 2019.

The architect behind the title is Frontier Developments, the studio that made the recent hit management and construction titles Planet Coaster and Jurassic World Evolution. During the show, the developer reiterated that authenticity is a major factor in the game, even going on to say it will feature the "most authentic animals ever in a video game."

Both a "globe-trotting campaign" and a sandbox mode will be available at launch. Players will be setting up custom animal habitats and caring for their occupants' needs like providing unique diets. As previously announced, animal welfare and conservation will also be focused on a lot in the title.

As expected from the studio, the game will feature powerful construction tools to create these zoos, from terraforming tools to make perfect zoo-ey landscape as well as hundreds of building components.

In addition to the $44.99 Standard Edition, there's also a $54.99 Deluxe Edition of Planet Zoo available for pre-order now on Steam, which comes with early beta access, three exclusive animals, the original soundtrack, and wallpapers.
