Microsoft revealed a hit-filled Games with Gold promotion for August last month, and already, its time for Xbox Live Gold members to claim the second wave of free titles. Xbox One users can now grab a copy of Forza Motorsport 6 while Xbox 360 owners can add Castlevania: Lords of Shadow to their library.
Note that as usual, the Xbox 360 game can also be claimed on Xbox One consoles due to it being on the backward compatibility program.
For Xbox Live Gold subscribers, here are the two games and their store pages to claim them directly:
Forza Motorsport 6 (Xbox One)
Forza Motorsport 6 is the most beautiful and comprehensive racing game of this generation. Collect and race over 450 Forzavista cars, all with working cockpits and full damage. Master wet weather and night racing on your road to victory. Compete in epic 24-player races and Forza Race Leagues across 26 world-famous locales, all at a stunning 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (Xbox 360, Xbox One)
Left as a foundling at the gates of the Brotherhood of Light convent they named him Gabriel and raised him as their own. Over the years he developed an unprecedented mastery of the fighting arts. Prone to dark moods he was deeply affected by the death of his one true love, Marie. He has now embarked on a quest at the request of the Elders of the Brotherhood to discover why the World is in chaos and within him lies a burning desire for revenge on those who took his beloved.
While this promotion is for the Standard Edition of Forza Motorsport 6, Microsoft has also put up its Complete Add-Ons Collection pack on sale, which as the name suggests, come with every expansion and DLC that's ever been released for the racing title. The $99.99 pack can be had for $4.99 until August 19.
Gears of War 4 is still sporting its freebie tag from the previous Games with Gold promotion also, which is available for claiming until August 31.
Remember that Xbox One titles claimed through a Games with Gold promotion are only playable whenever the player's account has an active Xbox Live Gold subscription. Claimed Xbox 360 games, on the other hand, will remain playable even if the subscription runs out.
