Gamevice brings physical controls to the iPad and iPad Pro

Although the console gaming industry seems to be holding its own, the mobile gaming landscape has shifted from dedicated gaming devices from the likes of Nintendo and Sony, to gamers utilizing touchscreen devices like the iPhone and iPad. Despite offering a wealth of titles and creative ways of interaction, there is nothing that can quite truly match the feel of playing with a physical controller. That's where companies like Gamevice come in and offer solutions to enhance the mobile gaming experience. Gamevice has offered its gaming controller for various Apple products since 2014. Starting in April, they will offer their latest controller for the iPad and iPad Pro.

The Apple approved controller connects using the Lightning connector and offers a zero latency experience for over 800 titles. The device maximizes comfort by sandwiching the controls on both sides of the iPad. For those seeking maximum control, the gamepad offers an array of buttons: dual analog joysticks, a D-Pad, A,B,X,Y buttons, four triggers, and a pause button. Gamevice has also taken the guess work out of finding supported titles by offering a dedicated app, 'Gamevice Live', that will aggregate all supported titles. Naturally, this list will grow as new titles debut.

The Gamevice controller for the iPad Air, iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro 9.7 will be available in April for $99.95 USD. The controller for the iPad 12.9-inch model will be available in the second quarter of 2016.
