Gaming News Round-Up: November 18

It's the weekend. We hope you are having fun before the mad dash of the holiday shopping season begins next week. In the meantime let's look at what game news popped up today:

Some Modern Warfare 3 players banned - Developer Infinity Ward has let the ban hammer come down on over 1,600 Modern Warfare 3 players who have tried to cheat or use exploits in multiplayer matches.

Starhawk beta testing begins next week - Sony's upcoming PS3 exclusive sci-fi action game will invite a select few players to beta test the game starting on Tuesday, November 22.

Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition revealed - BioWare's upcoming sci-fi RPG will get an impressive looking retail Collector's Edition which will include, among other things, some exclusive in-game content, a 70 page art book, a limited edition comic, the game's digital soundtrack and more.

CD Projekt is staying busy - The development team behind The Witcher game series have a bunch of unnamed game projects in the works. Two major AAA games are due out in 2014 and 2015 while two more smaller game titles are also under development.

Enemy Front announced - City Interactive has announced plan to release a WWII first person shooter for the PC and consoles in 2012 that wil use Crytek's CryEngine 3 graphics engine.

Battlefield 3 PC patch due out next week - EA will release a big update to the recent first person shooter next week which wil have a number of improvements and bug fixes for the game.
