Google brings Grow with Google digital skills program online

Spurred on by the coronavirus, Google has announced the launch of Grow with Google OnAir, an adaptation of its Grow with Google course that was launched in 2017 and was available offline all around the United States. The new OnAir variant teaches digital skills to those in the United States and Canada.

The program offers free virtual workshops, events, and 1:1 coaching sessions. The courses on offer can help develop the digital skills of anyone including those looking to grow a small business or those looking for a new job. Topics being offered through the program include “How to manage your business remotely in times of uncertainty” and “How to improve your resume with four practical strategies.”

According to the web giant, the Grow with Google program has already trained more than four million Americans on digital skills. In its announcement, it said:

“We’ve seen firsthand how technology can create new opportunities for growth, and it’s our aim to ensure those opportunities remain available to everyone.”

Earlier this month, it was revealed by O2 that many in the UK expect to work from home more after the pandemic; this attitude is likely present in order developed countries with similar levels of connectivity. By using Google's new offering, workers will be able to work from home, in the future, more effectively.
