Google makes its June security update for Android available for Pixel and Nexus devices

It's a new month and that means that Google has updated its line of hardware with the latest security updates for Android. The June security update is now available for download for Pixel and Nexus devices.

Although these updates generally will come over the air at some point, if you are in dire need of installing the latest you'll want to head to the source link down below to download the correct image for your model. Like every month, Google has patched many different security holes in its Android OS, the details of which can be found on its security bulletin website.

While this initial release is just for Google's Pixel and Nexus devices, Android partners like Samsung have been notified of the vulnerabilities a month prior and should have their own updates available at some point for their respective products.

As mentioned previously, for those curious, you can head to the source link down below to download the image for your device. Before doing so, you'll want to backup any personal data on the device, as the manual update with the full ROM will delete everything and return the software back to a stock state. However, if you download the OTA files, you will be able to update and still retain your data.
