Google offers $20 credit with Chromecast purchase

Google's Chromecast device has been a huge success thanks to its high functionality and low price point. At $35 it is probably one of the best bang for buck products available for streaming video or audio. Now it looks like Google is sweetening the deal by adding a $20 credit for those that purchase the device this holiday season.

Starting now until January 2, 2016, Google will be offering those purchasing a Google Chromecast a $20 Google Play credit that can be used in any manner on the Google Play Store. According to Google's promotional page, the credit must be added to a Google Payments account by January 31, 2016 and the credit must be used in one year's time, as it will expire on January 31, 2017.

For those that have been waiting for a great opportunity to purchase a Chromecast or Chromecast Audio, this might be one of the best opportunities to do so with added incentive. The Chromecast is available online and in most cases through your local electronics retailer.
