Google's I/O 2019 conference is drawing near, and the search giant has just teased an upcoming event supposedly for the rumored cheaper siblings of its Pixel 3 series. The Mountain View-based company posted a teaser on its Google Store website for "something big...coming to the Pixel universe" on May 7.
The event is believed to be slated for the unveiling of the mid-range Pixel 3a series, considering a handful of leaks that have surfaced lately surrounding that budget phone. Beyond the date, there is nothing much that can be glimpsed from the teaser in the way of features and specs.
A recent rumor, however, has shed more light on what we might expect from the smaller Pixel 3a next month. According to that report, the phone will likely be powered by a Snapdragon 670 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
It's also said to be packing a 3,000mAh battery and sporting a 5.6-inch display with a 2,220x1080 resolution while its bigger sibling is claimed to be featuring a 6-inch screen. Camera-wise, the budget handset is believed to include a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front shooter.
