With Google's next hardware launch fast approaching, the tech giant has now updated its online store to include a page presumably dedicated to what is expected to be its next flagship smartphone - the Pixel 3. A huge '3' encompasses a major part of this page, while an option to sign up for further updates has been provided as well.

Although the company still hasn't officially confirmed whether the number does indeed point towards the Pixel 3, it obviously seems to be the case. This has further been cemented by the invitations Google sent out last week for its October 9 event in New York City, which simply stated "I same way Apple has been going about its recent smartphone launches -, although that is unlikely.

With regards to the available option for more news, a single click enrolls the currently logged in Google account for further updates. As is apparent from the message, no more updates will arrive until October 9 - the day the tech giant's upcoming event is being held upon.

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have been leaked numerous times with alleged real-world images, multiple unboxings, and various renders for the yet unannounced handsets cropping up in the past few months. Even photos of what is believed to be a test unit of the Pixel 3 were revealed last week.

Interestingly, Google recently announced that this time around, it will also be hosting its upcoming event at multiple locations in Europe, at the same time as the U.S. event. In any case, we'll only know for sure how many of the rumors regarding the device turn out to be the real deal on October 9.

Update: The web page's source code contains numerous references to a Pixel device, including the words data-cta-source="pixel_3_tease", all but confirming that the number is indeed pointing toward Google's upcoming flagship - the Pixel 3.
