For the past couple of months there has been great anticipation for the release of Google's latest Nexus handset. Today, Google has announced the Nexus 6, a device that will be built by Motorola and run Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The Nexus 6 will have a 5.96" 2560 x 1440 display (493 ppi), Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 2.7 GHz quad-core processor, Adreno 420 GPU, 13MP rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization, 2MP front-facing camera, and be available with either 32GB or 64GB of memory.
To power this massive device, Motorola has included a huge 3220mAh battery that should be able to get you over 24 hours of battery life on a single charge. The device will also feature robust sound thanks to its dual front-facing speakers.
The Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order on October 29, but it won't be cheap. The device will be priced from $649 off-contract, although it will also be available on carrier plans with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, BestBuy, and U.S. Cellular.
