Google updates its Home app with new UI and features

Google has now issued an update for its Home app that will give users access to more commands along with a brand new look.

If unfamiliar, the Google Home app is used to control Home speaker and Chromecast products, using voice or a connected device. While added functionality is always nice, so is a complete makeover. Google has done just that, making things more intuitive with navigation buttons located at the bottom of the app. Now, you'll also get a list of recommended content from your connected streaming services. This will not only make things easier to find but will also allow users to jump straight into a service and play content.

The Home app will now include advanced search options, allowing users to search content by actor, artist, genre, or category. Those looking to refine the sound experience will be happy to know that the app now offers bass and treble adjustments for any supported speaker. The app update is now live in the Google Play Store.
