GTA IV and Episodes from Liberty City are now available on Xbox One Backward Compatibility

After adding Lego: Indiana Jones to its list of Xbox 360 games playable on the Xbox One on Tuesday, Microsoft has made three new additions available today.

Rockstar Games' classic Grand Theft Auto IV is now playable on the Xbox One, along with the two Episodes from Liberty City add-on packs, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.

Grand Theft Auto IV ($19.99)

What does the American Dream mean today? For Niko Bellic, fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity. As they slip into debt and are dragged into a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that the reality is very different from the dream in a city that worships money and status, and is heaven for those who have them and a living nightmare for those who don’t.

Episodes from Liberty City: The Lost and Damned ($9.99)

Johnny is a veteran member of The Lost, a notorious biker gang. Johnny has been creating business opportunities for The Lost in Liberty City, but his first loyalty must be to the patch he wears on his back and to Billy Grey, the club’s President. However, when Billy returns from rehab hell-bent on bloodshed and debauchery, Johnny finds himself in the middle of a vicious turf war with rival gangs for control of a city torn apart by violence and corruption. Can the brotherhood survive?

Episodes from Liberty City: The Ballad of Gay Tony ($19.99)

The Ballad of Gay Tony injects Liberty City with an overdose of guns, glitz, and grime. As Luis Lopez, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (a.k.a. “Gay Tony”), players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price.

New additions to the Backward Compatibility list generally come on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week. Last Tuesday, Microsoft only added three games to the list.

If you're looking for new games on the cheap, don't forget about Games with Gold, which offers four free games to Xbox Live Gold members every month. You still have until the 15th to grab Killer Instinct Season2 Ultra Edition (Xbox One), which was part of last month's offers, and for this month, you can currently claim Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime (Xbox One) and Monkey Island 2: SE (Xbox 360).
