Halo: Reach's minimum PC system requirements shared

Halo: Reach is currently having its biggest Insider flight yet on PC that is slated to run for a week, continuing the sessions that kicked off in June. And thanks to all the testing, 343 Industries has managed to dial in on the minimum requirements for the game, though it is just for the Steam version and integrated graphics data is still incoming.

See the handy image 343 provided on its Halo: The Master Chief Collection development update blog post today down below:

The minimum requirements seem very suited for the game considering its age, even coming with the capability to run the game on nearly 10-year old hardware at almost 60FPS. The 4K specifications are also quite low, though remember that these are the suggested minimum specifications, so getting a smooth experience on higher graphics will require more horsepower.

Microsoft Store version's system requirements will apparently be slightly different, and those details will be shared at a later date by the developer.

The developer reiterated that PC and Xbox One cross-play will not be available at launch, but Steam and Microsoft Store players will be playing on the same servers. As for cross-progression, campaign missions will be shared between the platforms via the user's Xbox profile, but this is only for completed missions and playlists, as well as stats like leaderboards, achievements, and rank.

In addition to a wide range of graphics options, the PC version will be highly customizable in other areas. This includes separate mouse sensitivity options for when aiming normally and zoomed in, multiple mouse acceleration options, separate field of view sliders for when on foot and driving, framerate limits, and even crosshair position adjustments.

The comprehensive blog post also went into detailing the planned multiplayer matchmaking offerings, accessibility settings, Forge legacy content migration, Spartan and Elite customizations, and more. Head over here to read it in full.

All signs seem to be pointing at an imminent release date announcement from the developer, finally bringing the first game of Halo: The Master Chief Collection over to PC, and also delivering Halo: Reach to the console variant of the collection. Hopefully, we won't have to wait long to find out.
