Harman Kardon reveals its new Cortana-powered Invoke speaker

Back in December, Microsoft and Harman Kardon announced a new device that will be similar to Amazon's Echo and Google's Home, but it will be powered by Cortana. We've learned a bit about it since then, such as that it will be called Invoke, and that it will support multiple music services.

Today though, the device got a full reveal, as Harman Kardon has posted a product page for the Invoke on its website. First spotted by Brad Sams of Thurrott.com, the page says that it will be coming this fall.

With the Harman Kardon Invoke, you'll be able to "make and receive calls with Skype", "voice control your music" with "captivating Harman Kardon sound", and "get things done with Cortana". Indeed, there really aren't any surprises in that department.

What's new here is that we can finally see the full design of the speaker, which is similar to an Amazon Echo. Judging by the images, it will be available in black and silver.

This actually won't be the company's first smart speaker. Back at CES, Lenovo announced a series of Alexa-powered Smart Assistant devices, with a special Harman Kardon edition for $179.99. Unfortunately, there's still no pricing available for the Invoke, so we can't yet see how it compares.

Microsoft's Build 2017 developer conference kicks off on Wednesday, and we'll almost certainly hear more about upcoming Cortana speakers and the Invoke. Neowin will be there, so make sure to check back in.
