HP OMEN 15 unboxing and first impressions

Back in June, HP announced a refresh to its OMEN 15 gaming laptop, and it just arrived with AMD's Ryzen 4000 H-series processors. Of course, if Intel is more your thing, you can get that too, and it's offered with better graphics. The model that HP sent me includes an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660Ti, while the Intel Comet Lake H variant comes with up to a GeForce RTX 2070.

Other goodies are exclusive to Intel as well, such as the UHD OLED display panel that's offered. You can also get this machine in UHD 120Hz, or FHD 300Hz. There are quite a few configurations to choose from.

It also has an all-new design. It has an 8% smaller footprint than its predecessor, and HP says that this is the smallest 15-inch gaming laptop out there. It's also 11% thinner than the previous OMEN 15. You'll also notice a more minimal design, with a new diamond OMEN logo. It's certainly not as flamboyant as it was before, but it doesn't sacrifice style to get there.
