HP's Elite Dragonfly just came out, but the company is already gearing up for the second generation of the product. The Elite Dragonfly G2 includes Intel's 10th-generation 'Comet Lake' vPro processors, and it won't be out until the summer.
But that's not all, because the existing model is getting new features, keeping the eighth-gen CPUs. One thing that's new is that it's getting 5G, via Qualcomm's Snapdragon X55 modem. It's a big deal, considering that Intel-powered 5G PCs weren't supposed to arrive until 2021, and they were going to have MediaTek modems. But it seems that Qualcomm was just ready before MediaTek was.
Another thing that's new is Tile integration. The Tile is built into the product, making it easier to find your PC, get a notification if you leave your PC somewhere, and so on.
The Elite Dragonfly is also getting Sure View improvements. Sure View is HP's privacy screen technology, keeping people from looking over your shoulder and seeing what you're working on. The new technology is called Sure View Reflect, and it should work better in more lighting conditions.
Tile integration and Sure View Reflect will be available in the product in February, while 5G is coming this summer.
