The Vive Focus made its debut late last year, offering an untethered virtual reality experience. While the release of the product was bound to Asian markets, it is now making its wait to other regions.
HTC revealed today that the Vive Focus will be available in "Western markets", which allows the headset to expand availability to "37 markets worldwide". The company didn't give many specifics when it comes location specifics, but hopefully, you will see this in your area if you've been wanting one. This is certainly great news for anyone that wanted to pick up the VR headset, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor.
The Vive Focus will have access to the Viveport service, which is host to plenty of games and experiences. As far as specifications go, it has the aforementioned processor, and also makes use of dual 3K AMOLED screens offering a resolution of 2880 x 1600 with a 110-degree field of view. It also features interactive tracking, without the need for external base stations or sensors. The headset also has built-in speakers and can last up to three hours on a single charge.
Again, there wasn't mention of where you can specifically purchase this product, and it is currently not available from HTC's Vive website, so keep your eyes peeled if you are looking to purchase one.
