Huawei announces pricing and availability for the Honor View 20 and its 48MP camera

Huawei first announced the Honor View 20 at an event in China last month, but the firm held an event in Paris today for the global launch, and it announced pricing and availability. The handset will cost £499/€569 for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, or £579/€649 for 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The new smartphone has some interesting features. The rear camera comes with a 48-megapixel resolution, and it has a 3D TOF sensor. There's a 25-megapixel camera on the front, but what's particularly notable about that is the holepunch display. Rather than having a notch, there's just a circular cutout in the display for the camera.

And of course, the Honor View 20 has a very unique design. It has a glass back with metallic blue or red colors, and there are reflective arrows all along the back. There should be a black color as well, but Honor doesn't seem to be showing that off.

Naturally, it comes with Huawei's latest in-house chipset, the Kirin 980. This comes with the second-generation Neural Processing Unit for improved AI and machine learning tasks.

You'll be able to buy the Honor View 20 in the UK and other markets beginning tomorrow, and it's not coming to the United States.
