Huawei's $1500 Porsche Design Mate 9 is now available for pre-order, in parts of Europe

For those looking to get their hands on the Porsche Design Mate 9, the time has finally arrived as the Porsche Design website is now taking pre-orders.

The €1395 (almost $1500 USD) handset was unveiled in November of last year and offers quite a hefty set of specifications that include a slightly curved QHD AMOLED display, a Kirin 960 processor and 6GB RAM. The device will be available starting January 31 and will only be shipped to several countries within Europe. Those in the US will have to be content with the $599 Mate 9, that made its debut in January at CES 2017.

If the $1500 price tag is a bit too much and not available in your region, you can always opt for the more affordable Mate 9 Pro, which offers the same specifications and design. The handset will most likely not be a direct purchase for most and will have to be obtained via a third party since the device was released exclusively in China.
