Hyper announces new USB hub that cleverly attaches to your MacBook charger

Today, Hyper has announced its new HyperDrive USB-C Hub that cleverly attaches to Apple's MacBook charger and adds two full-sized USB ports. This will be a welcome accessory for any MacBook owner, offering up additional ports while still retaining the ability to charge the laptop.

Those that own a newer MacBook or MacBook Pro will know that the units only come with USB Type-C ports, sometimes making life difficult if you need to gain access to external media or use accessories. Hyper's solution will offer ports that can be used for charging and also data. The unit will also support charging multiple devices all at once.

There will be two version of the attachment, one that fits the MacBook Pro 87W USB-C Power Adapter and another for the 61W USB-C Power Adapter. For the moment, the company is offering a small discount on the accessory if you pre-order, knocking ten dollars off the retail price. The 87W unit will normally cost $49.99, while the 61W unit will cost $39.99. If interested, you can head to Hyper's product page to order, with the devices slated to begin shipping in November.
