It was about two months ago that one of the first rumors began circulating that Samsung would reintroduce the Galaxy Note7 to the market as a refurbished device. At the time, it was denied, but as we would later find out that the plan to resurrect the Galaxy Note7 was, in fact, real. Now, it appears that a live model of a refurbished unit has surfaced and it includes a slightly smaller battery than its original incarnation.
The folks at SamsungVN have obtained alleged images of the refurbished Galaxy Note7 device that has a model number of SM-N935. The handset is running Android 7.0 Nougat and also comes with a battery capacity of 3,200mAh. The original Galaxy Note7 that was released last year offered a slightly larger battery at 3,500mAh battery. While there might be some expected cause for concern, the new batteries have undoubtedly undergone Samsung's latest gamut of quality tests to ensure safety for its consumers.
For now, it is uncertain where these handsets will pop up, but the firm has stated that "devices shall be considered to be used as refurbished phones or rental phones where applicable".
