iOS 13, watchOS 6, and tvOS 13 all coming on September 19

Apple held its annual iPhone event today, where it launched a number of products. The base model iPad now comes with a 10.2-inch display, the Apple Watch Series 5 has an always-on display, and then there's the iPhone XR successor iPhone 11 and the iPhone XS successor iPhone Pro.

One thing that the Cupertino firm didn't talk about during the event is when its next OS updates will ship, updates that beta testers have been using since June. Luckily, most of the dates are now available.

iOS 13, watchOS 6, and tvOS 13 will all ship on September 19. They all contains a bunch of new features to check out, such as iOS 13's dark mode. But while iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 are the same thing in many ways, iPadOS won't ship until September 30.

In fact, it will likely be iPadOS 13.1, since that's also the date Apple said that it will ship iOS 13.1. Apple surprised everyone by releasing iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 betas a couple of weeks ago, and they pretty much contain things that were removed in the iOS 13 betas, such as the new lyrics feature in Apple Music. Unfortunately, the September 30 release date for iOS 13.1 means that it will come out after the new iPhones, making it hard to restore from an iCloud backup if you're coming from a device on the beta.

The one release date that we still don't have is for macOS Catalina, which is still listed as coming in October.
