iPhone OS 4.0 jailbroken within 24 hours (VIDEO)

Less than 24 hours after the preview event of Apple's new iPhone OS, the Dev Team successfully jailbroke the beta. In a video posted in a tweet by MuscleNerd, a member of Dev Team, an iPhone with the beta version of OS 4.0 is seen running Cydia and Veency, two popular iPhone apps only usable on phones that have been jailbroken.

There is speculation as to the reliability of the exploit, and Gizmodo points out that the vulnerability could be a red herring set up by Apple to distract jailbreakers from the full release.
