Jim Beam introduces its limited smart decanter for the holidays

Last year, Amazon crushed the holiday season with impressive sales of its Alexa devices. This year, many other companies have stepped up to the plate, offering their own version of a smart speaker. While Google and Apple might come to mind, it is Jim Beam that's attempting to steal the spotlight, by introducing the world's first smart decanter.

You heard right, the bourbon whiskey producer out of Clermont, Kentucky, is offering the decanter, which is voiced by Fred Noe - a seventh generation Master Distiller. You can store bourbon in the upper compartment and the decanter will be able to understand commands and even pour you a shot when you desire.

This product is being listed as a limited quantity item costing $34.90. At the time of this writing, initial supplies of the unit look to be depleted and it is currently unknown as to whether stocks will be replenished in the future. The unit does rely on 3G service which will be available for six months. After that time, the unit will become a regular decanter without witty voice responses.
