Lenovo announces new Windows and Chrome OS laptops for education

Today, Lenovo is announcing a bunch of new laptops for education, including the 14e Gen 2, 100e, 300e, and 500e on the Chrome OS side, and the 14w Gen 2, 100w, 300w, and 500w on the Windows 10 side. Being made for students and teachers, they can all handle drops and spills, meeting the MIL-STD-810H standard.

Our ongoing commitment and expertise in tailored solutions will help drive innovative educational technology as we reimagine and reinvent teaching and learning."

With the exception of the 500e and 500w - which use Intel Celeron N5100 and Pentium N6000 processors, respectively - they have AMD processors. The Chromebooks get AMD's designed for Chromebook chips, while the Windows 10 laptops are getting the AMD 3015e, a dual-core 6W chip.

As for pricing, the 14w and 14e start at $334, the 100e and 100w start at $299, the 300e and 300w start at $359, and the 500e and 500w start at $429. They're all coming in May with the exception of the 100w and 500w, which are coming in June.
