LinkedIn's new premium feature compares companies of your choice

LinkedIn has been offering data about hiring trends and growth in companies since the introduction of Premium Insights last year. The Microsoft-owned professional network is now taking things further by allowing Premium members to compare data from various companies in the same industry using a new feature called "peer benchmarking".

In a recent update, the network provided the ability for individuals to improve their job prospects by showcasing their skills. Now, the newest offering provides organizations the insights to hire better candidates. The feature will be available to the Premium Business, Sales Navigator and Talent Solutions subscriptions and will provide the following insights to compare:

1. Total employee count

2. Employee distribution and headcount growth by function

3. Total job openings

LinkedIn members with the qualifying subscriptions can begin using the features on the web soon, as the rollout has already begun. On mobile, the features are still said to be coming soon.
