Lucent is suing Microsoft again, claiming that the Goliath's Xbox 360 is infringing on David's Patent No. 5,227,878. A classic tale indeed, because when someone allegedly breaches your "Adaptive Coding and Decoding of Frames and Fields of Video" patent, you shouldn't take it lying down.
Last time Lucent brought Microsoft to court, the judge declared, because of a typo in the patent, the claim was invalid. However, the judge stated that the "decision was without prejudice to Lucent starting separate action."
