Mega Man 11 arrives on consoles and PC in North America

It has been a long time coming but Capcom has finally made Mega Man 11 available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.

The new game is a direct sequel to Mega Man 10, which was released eight years ago. Despite being a modern entry, the previous title in the series took a retro approach, utilizing 8-bit graphics. However, Mega Man 11 takes a different approach, still remaining true to its Mega Man roots by being a 2D platformer but offering up polished 3D visuals.

Mega Man 11 offers new enemies and new mechanics like the new Double Gear system. The Double Gear system will allow players to slow down time and overcharging of the Mega Buster for a powerful blast. The game will also offer players the ability to choose difficulty levels, making it accessible to all.

The new game will be available in North America starting today, with a physical and digital release being available for the PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch. For PC there will only be a digital download of the game and those with a Nintendo Switch will have the option of purchasing a collector's edition that will come with a special amiibo.
