Microsoft adds two more games to Xbox One Backward Compatibility

It's Tuesday, which means that it's time for Microsoft to add more titles to the Xbox One Backward Compatibility list. There are two new additions today, which include Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet.

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution ($29.99)

Legendary game designer Sid Meier brings the greatest strategy game of all time to the Xbox 360 console! Built from the ground up for the Xbox 360 console, Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution challenges you to lead your chosen nation from the dawn of man to the space age on your quest to rule the world. Go head to head with history's greatest leaders as you wage war, conduct diplomacy, discover new technologies and build the most powerful empire the world has ever known. The famously addictive gameplay, endless ways to play and Xbox LIVE multiplayer competitions, matchmaking, Leaderboards, Achievements and downloadable content will keep you coming back for more.

If $29.99 sounds like a lot for a backward compatible game, there's some good news. Right now, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can get it for just $8.99, which is a 70% discount.

Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet ($9.99)

In this Insanely Twisted, 2-D action-adventure game, explore unique environments and battle bizarre creatures as you make your way toward the center of the mysterious Shadow Planet! Solve complex puzzles and upgrade your ship with alien technology as you fight to save your home world. Featuring both local and Xbox LIVE multiplayer game modes.

It's also a new month, which means all-new Games with Gold, the program that provides four free games per month to Xbox Live Gold subscribers. You've got until the end of the month to claim Ryse: Son of Rome (Xbox One) and until the 15th to grab Darksiders (Xbox 360). Evolve Ultimate Edition (Xbox One), which was part of last month's offers, can also be yours for free until the 15th.

If you're on the Alpha or Beta rings of the Xbox Insider Program, you can also try out Xbox Game Pass for the next few days. Once the service comes out of preview, it will cost $10 per month and provide access to over 100 games.
