Microsoft announces AI and mixed reality business apps for Dynamics 365

Today, Microsoft is introducing a series of new Dynamics 365 applications that implement artificial intelligence and mixed reality. First of all, the firm announced the upcoming availability of its Dynamics 365 AI products.

Dynamics 365 AI for Sales is meant to help salespeople to better prioritize their time, and provide insights into how to better coach sales teams. There's also Dynamics 365 AI for Customer Service, which uses AI for automated virtual customer service agents, without having to write any code. Finally, Dynamics 365 AI for Market Insights does exactly what it sounds like, allowing your "marketing, social media and market research teams to make better decisions with market insights".

There are two new mixed reality applications, including Dynamics 365 Remote Assist and Dynamics 365 Layout.

Remote Assist is made to allow you to work with someone via mixed reality. You can see in the video above that someone is working in a lab and gets an error. Requiring assistance from someone with more expertise, she puts on her HoloLens and calls someone, who helps her to fix things virtually.

Layout is made to help you to design workspaces. You can place things on top of virtual areas before you ever have to build anything.

These new Dynamics 365 features should be available as part of the October update, which will be available on October 1.
