Microsoft brings inking upgrades to Office for iOS in November 2017 preview

Microsoft has recently rolled out inking improvements to the November 2017 preview for its Office apps on iOS devices. The latest update for iOS bumps up the software version of Office 2016 to 2.7 (17103001).

The update introduces a digital pencil to pens and effects that are already available to help you bring your ideas into existence. Faster scrolling also comes with the new update, allowing you to navigate long spreadsheets faster on your mobile device through the use of fresh scroll tools.

Keep in mind that the update serves only as a preview of the November 2017 feature update for Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for iPad and iPhone devices, so bugs could possibly show up at any moment. Thankfully, Microsoft is also on the lookout for issues that it promises to resolve prior to the final rollout of the updates to all users later in November.

The improvements came a few days after the software giant released a new Insider Fast build to the Office 2016 for Mac, pushing out a bevy of new features and bug fixes to the app including a Laser pointer in Slide Show for PowerPoint 2016 for Mac.
