Microsoft explains why you shouldn't buy Office 2019

Microsoft published a series of videos today to show off the advantages of Office 365 over purchasing a perpetual license, such as Office 2019. The videos show off identical twins, and the idea is to give them identical tasks but without identical software.

The message is clear: Microsoft wants you to purchase Office 365 instead, because it's better. Office 365 regularly gets feature updates, while perpetual license products are "frozen in time".

For the Microsoft Word video, two twins edited their resumes, added relevant skills, and sent it to recruiters. The Office 365 user had so much time left over that he decided to cut up some peppers.

The Excel twins used new cloud-connected features like finding state capitals, state populations, and largest cities. Naturally, the Office 365 user had time to jump rope.

And finally, our PowerPoint twins had to design slides, ink to text, and ink to shapes. The Office 365 user decided to make some smoothies when she was done.

In short, if you want free time for cutting peppers, jumping rope, or blending smoothies, you should sign up for Office 365.
