Microsoft is introducing two new Xbox Wireless Controller designs today, including Ocean Shadow and Winter Forces. The new custom designs follow in the footsteps of earlier ones that were released, such as Dawn Shadow back in September.
In fact, Microsoft is calling the series of controllers "Shadow", so perhaps we'll see even more of these. Ocean Shadow "comes in a matte black that fades to a light blue metallic finish." The triggers and D-pad have a gloss black color with light blue highlights on the buttons.
Winter Forces is part of the "Forces" series, joining Armed Forces, Covert Forces, and Midnight Forces. The controller "has a high-tech artic camo pattern that embodies a modern design." The accents are dark grey with light grey highlights.
Both of these new controllers will be available in select retailers worldwide on February 7, and they will cost $69.99.
Unlike various different colored controllers that the company has offered, this isn't something that you could make yourself in the Design Lab. These are Special Edition controllers that are only available in the colors and designs that are offered.
