In recent months, Microsoft has announced a vast range of additions and improvements to Office 365, including deeper SharePoint integration, new tools for education, enhanced security features, and Teams, its new 'chat-based workspace' to compete with Slack.
Today, Microsoft didn't announce any new features, but it did reveal that Office 365 availability has now been expanded to ten more markets around the world:
- Bhutan
- Cambodia
- Greenland
- Guadeloupe
- Laos
- Maldives
- Martinique
- Mozambique
- Myanmar
- Vatican City
These latest additions bring the total number of markets in which Office 365 is now available to over 150, with support for 44 languages. Microsoft's Tom Batcheler said today that the company plans to bring Office 365 to a further 97 markets "over the next year".
Over 1.2 billion people worldwide now use Microsoft's productivity suite, and the company has been gradually persuading more of them to switch to its Office 365 subscriptions. In its most recent quarterly earnings report, Microsoft reported a remarkable 51% year-over-year increase in Office 365 revenue from commercial customers.
