There's no question that Microsoft's Surface Pro 2 is a high quality machine, capable of doing as much as a standard laptop, only in tablet form. One of the complaints (aside from availability) has been the relatively high price tag when compared to the iPad and Android tablets. Although the Surface Pro 2 is a fully functioning laptop compared to the iOS and Android tablets, it's hard to resist wanting to pay a lower price for the hardware, but those discounts have been far and few between.
If you're a student or teacher, Microsoft is offering a 10% discount on the hardware. Simply head over to their site, enter in the name of the school, and start shopping. When you go to checkout, type in the coupon code GRADUATION and save an additional $100. This cuts the price of the 64GB Surface Pro 2 from $899 down to $709, the 128GB version from $999 to $799.10, the 256GB version from $1,299 to $1,069.10, and the massive 512GB version from $1,799 down to a more manageable $1,519.10.
Keep in mind that this is only for students and teachers. The fine print says that if you buy this and aren't eligible for the discount, Microsoft reserves the right to charge your credit card the difference or, if you purchased with cash, to invoice you for the extra money, so buyer beware.
