Microsoft opens in Qatar

Microsoft on Monday announced opening of its new office in the new, upcoming Qatar Science and Technology Park.

At a joint press conference with the management of the Qatar Science and Technology Park, Microsoft executives said the new office is an integral part of the company's commitment to the growth and development of the ICT industry in Qatar.

"Microsoft is strongly committed to the growth of the ICT industry in the whole Middle East region, and our announcement today of opening our new office in Qatar shows how keen we are in fulfilling our commitment," Microsoft Middle East Regional Director Mohammed Kateeb said in a statement.

Kateeb said Microsoft's efforts will positively contribute to the growth of the ICT industry in Qatar, and help accelerate the growth of the Middle East economy.
