Microsoft has been testing the next Windows 10 update after version 2004 for a few months now, but until now, you'd have to be in the Fast ring and get new builds through Windows Update if you wanted to try them. Today, Microsoft is releasing the first ISO for a build in the new vNext development branch, which isn't necessarily tied to a specific Windows 10 Update.
The ISO is for build 19619, which is the build released to Insiders in the Fast ring last week. That particular build didn't contain much that's new, but if you've been waiting for an ISO to jump into the Insider builds, you'll have a few things waiting for you already. Build 19536 introduced some changes to how optional driver updates are presented in Windows Update, and build 19541 later added some new information to the Task Manager.
In more notable changes, there's ARM support for Hyper-V added in build 19559, improvements to the tablet experience outside of tablet mode, which were brought back with build 19592, and the Windows Subsystem for Linux integration with File Explorer added in build 19603. You'll also be able to try the new Calendar app, which is still exclusive to vNext builds for now.
It's still unclear when we can expect these features to be available for the general public, but you shouldn't expect them until at least next year, since Windows 10 20H2 is expected to be a minor update, similar to the November 2019 Update. You can download the ISO for build 19619 here.
