Microsoft releases Windows 10 build 19041.208 to the Slow ring with fixes

Just under a week ago, Microsoft offered Windows 10 version 2004 to Windows Insiders on the Release Preview ring. That means that the company is prepping for general availability of the feature update, and it's servicing it today for Insiders on the Slow ring. Build 19041.208 is available in the Slow ring only, so if you're on the Release Preview ring, you'll have to wait a little bit longer for it.

This update includes only one fix:

  • We fixed an issue that fails to send NPLogonNotify API notifications from the credential provider framework.

Also, there's one known issue to be aware of:

  • We are aware Narrator and NVDA users that seek the latest release of Microsoft Edge based on Chromium may experience some difficulty when navigating and reading certain web content. Narrator, NVDA and the Edge teams are aware of these issues. Users of legacy Microsoft Edge will not be affected. NVAccess has released a NVDA 2019.3that resolves the known issue with Edge.

Microsoft noted that this update also includes the fixes that were in last week's build 19041.207, although that's not surprising, since that's what the cumulative part of cumulative update means.

It's likely that the Windows 10 May 2020 Update will roll out in May, possibly on Patch Tuesday. This might end up being the final update before then.
